Board members of the Bay City Cooperative Market are making plans to attend the national Up and Coming Food Co-op Conference, March 10-12 in Bloomington, Indiana. The conference is put on by the Indiana Cooperative Development Center and Food Co-op Initiative, a national organization that helps organize co-ops. The agenda includes sessions on such topics as store design, merchandising, financing issues and building relationships with farmers. Case studies from around the country will be included. We hope to gain lots of useful information and make connections with people who can help us down the road!
